Prohibited and Restricted Items Policy
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. Prohibited Items
IMPORTANT: Attempting to ship these items through the ShipVia Couriers platform may
result in immediate action, including shipment removal, account suspension, and/or legal
consequences.
Common prohibited items include but not limited to:
• Weapons: Firearms, ammunition, explosives, knives, stun guns, and replicas.
• Illegal Substances: Controlled drugs, drug paraphernalia, or any items that violate
federal, provincial, state, or local laws.
• Alcohol, Tobacco, and Vaping Products: Including e-cigarettes, cigars, and liquor.
• Human Remains: Ashes, body parts, or any products derived from the human body.
• Stolen Goods or Counterfeit Products.
• Recalled Items.
2. Hazardous & Dangerous Materials
Certain materials can be shipped under special circumstances but are classified as
hazardous and require careful attention. These items often have additional packaging,
identification, and labeling requirements due to shipping restrictions or safety concerns.
This includes substances that are flammable, toxic, corrosive, or reactive.
Examples of hazardous goods:
• Flammable Products: Perfume, nail polish, lighters, or aerosol sprays.
• Batteries: Especially lithium-ion batteries, which can pose significant fire risks if
damaged.
• Cleaning Supplies & Chemicals: Products with corrosive or toxic content.
• Paints and Solvents: Flammable liquids and thinners.
The items listed above are examples of commonly classified hazardous and dangerous

Acceptance and packaging requirements vary by carrier, origin, and destination regulations.
ShipVia Couriers does not guarantee shipment acceptance or progress by generating a label
with us.
3. Protection Eligibility & Exclusions
Please Note: The allowance of an item for transport does not guarantee its eligibility for
coverage under ShipVia Package Protection.
• Even if an item is permitted by a carrier or falls under a "restricted" exception, it may
still be excluded from protection coverage due to its fragile, perishable, or high-risk
nature.
• Users are strongly advised to refer to the ShipVia Package Protection Terms and
Conditions and our Claims Policy for further details regarding specific exclusions,
coverage limitations, packaging requirements for your shipments.
4. Shipper Responsibility
As the shipper, you must comply with these policies at all times. Proper declaration of
restricted, prohibited, dangerous or hazardous materials is required to ensure the safety of
the ShipVia Couriers network, our partners, and carriers.
